Press ⌥Space over Live, type a few letters, hit Enter. Any plugin, preset or device lands exactly where you want it. Your keys and controller do the rest.
Mac · Ableton Live 12 (key remapping also works in Live 11) · macOS 13 Ventura or later
Your keyboard and controller become shortcuts, loaders and macros for Live. Stop hunting the browser. Press a key, and it happens.
⌥Space, or any shortcut you choose, opens a search over Live. Every Ableton device, every plug-in, every preset and your own saved sounds, with real pictures of each one. Type a few letters and press Enter.
Miss a letter, hit the key next door or swap two round. Trigger knows what you meant, so you never have to go back and fix the spelling.
Choose where it lands before you press Enter. Drop a compressor to the left of your EQ, or spin up a fresh track for a synth. Trigger knows instruments from effects, so a synth never ends up on an audio track.
Star the things you reach for, sort them into your own folders, and see the last ten things you used. Switch to "My stuff" and the palette shows only what you've chosen.
Map any key or MIDI note to a Live shortcut, a device load, a function, or a whole chain of actions. Your triggers show up in the palette too, so you can find and fire one even if you've forgotten its key.
Keep a separate set of triggers for producing, mixing or playing live, and switch between them in Settings. Everything syncs through iCloud, so a trigger you add in the studio is waiting on your laptop.
A small clock in your menu bar shows how long you've been in the set. Set Trigger to remind you to save, or to save for you every few minutes. New set? It asks for a name once, then saves quietly.
Put any of these on a key or a pad, or fire them from the palette.
